The Mighty Minotaur

Minotaurs are very strong and very cool. These are creatures that are half-human and half-bull. If you search the internet, you’ll see lots of different imaginings of minotaurs, with artists using all kinds of combinations of human and bull.

The picture below is one of my favorites, with a bull head, a super-strong human body, and bull-like legs with hoofed feet. This one is a warrior and looks pretty nasty. I think minotaurs could also be friendly, though.

The Minotaur, half man half bull, stands on a rock in an aggressive stance, a monster of ancient Greek myth, emerges from the mists of legend and glares at you with a menacing look. 3D Rendering

In Greek Mythology, there was actually only one minotaur. He was a very angry dude who ate children. Daedalus built a labyrinth for him. It was the only prison that could hold him.

Even though the original myth had only one minotaur, I’m okay with there being lots of minotaurs. Lots and lots of minotaurs. In fact, I like stories in which there’s a whole race of such creatures.

I don’t think minotaurs usually have magical abilities. They are cool enough not to need them. They’re special because of their strength and their fearsome appearance. In The Fantastical Transmogrifier, though, the minotaur does have magic!
